  • About Jeoff W. Lanfear, FNP-C

    Raised in northwest Montana, Jeoff W. Lanfear, FNP-C, owner of Urgent Care of Soldotna, joined the United States Coast Guard following high school. He earned his Masters of Nursing from Gonzaga University. Go Zags!!
    He discovered his love of serving others during his duty in the United States Coast Guard, while stationed in Juneau, Alaska. His primary duty was a boat crewman for the small boat station performing search and rescue, he also volunteered as a firefighter as well as a dive rescue swimmer for the Valley Fire/Rescue Department.
    Jeoff has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 12 years. Over the last decade, he has enjoyed serving the rural communities of Alaska including the Copper River area, Pribilof Islands, Cantwell, and Cold Bay. Previously he served as the Urgent Care Provider at the Dena’ina Wellness Center prior to creating and becoming owner of the awesome team of Urgent Care of Soldotna.
    He has been married for almost 20 years and has two wonderful children. He enjoys working around the house, hunt’n, fish’n from his kayak, hiking, and backpacking.
    Jeoff’s love for his patients, enthusiasm for making his patients healthcare a priority, sincere commitment to his team and love for Alaska is why Urgent Care of Soldotna is the #1 Urgent Care on the Peninsula!

  • About Ruth Alvarez, PA-C

        Ruth Alvarez was a member of the first graduating class of Physician Assistants at the University of Florida. In 1995 she moved to Alaska and has practiced in many locations around the state. In 2009 she moved to the Kenai Peninsula; the area she finds most beautiful. She enjoys gardening, fishing, painting, cooking, and playing with her two large dogs.

  • Kelly Hall, NP-C,

        Kelly was raised in Fairbanks, AK and graduated from UAF with a degree in biochemistry followed by a bachelor’s in nursing at Creighton University in 2005. She worked in Cardiac Care and as a Public Health Nurse in Fairbanks before going back to school to complete her MSN to be a Family Nurse Practitioner at Troy University in Alabama.
Kelly has a variety of experience as a Family Nurse practitioner, working for Southcentral Foundation in Anchorage, AK, the Kenaitze Indian Tribe at Dena’ina Wellness Center, and for the State of Alaska in Public Health. Her focus has been providing primary family medical care, reproductive health care, as well as urgent care.
Kelly has been happily married for six years and has one very spirited almost kindergartner at Redoubt Elementary and two teenage stepsons. She enjoys camping, getting together with friends, spending time with family and the occasional karaoke night!,

 Shannon Rynders, PA-C

Shannon was born in Anchorage, Alaska and grew up between Alaska and Washington state. Since childhood she knew she was going to be in the medical field. Shannon enlisted in the Air Force while in high school and served as an EMT and a Neurology Technician. When she got out, she continued to work as an EMT and as a Medical Assistant. In 1995 she was accepted into the MEDEX NW PA program at the University of Washington and graduated in 1997. Due to a position on a trauma team she moved to the Midwest where she met her husband. They have two wonderful children! Their son will be leaving for the Army in a few months and their daughter’s goal is to attend the University of Alaska. It’s always been a long-time dream to return to Alaska, so they did it! As a family they love to camp, hike, fish, and cheer on our favorite NFL teams. They have family in Alaska, Washington state, California, and Indiana.
Shannon’s well-rounded experience and her diverse background in the field of medicine make her an amazing addition to the UCOS family. Her gentle spirit and genuine desire to help her patients is always appreciated by everyone.
